    A former assistant property manager for the General Services Administration in Las Vegas who oversaw the federal courthouse pleaded guilty Friday to witness tampering and making false statements to federal agents.

LAS VEGAS -- Nevada Highway Patrol released the names of the troopers involved in a shooting Dec. 31 on US 95 near Jones Boulevard.

The troopers were identified as trooper Micah May, who has been with NHP since April 2008 and Sgt. Raymond Pedraza, with NHP since June 2001.

The shooting happened after troopers chased a suspect vehicle, only stopping the car after using tire spikes to disable it.

The man in the car, identified as David Bird Jr., 33, started to run and gunfire was exchanged, according to NHP. Bird was shot and taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. No troopers were injured.
