LAS VEGAS -- A woman in a wheelchair was struck by a tractor-trailer at Sahara Avenue and Valley View Boulevard just before 10 a.m. Thursday.

Metro Police spokesman Bill Cassell said the woman was taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were not described as life-threatening.

Cassell said he doesn't immediately have details about how the incident happened and that the truck driver remained at the scene.

All eastbound lanes of Sahara at Valley View are closed to traffic as police investigate.
