LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Clark County firefighters say two people have been displaced in the department's first structure fire of the year.
Authorities say they responded about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday to a home on Orinda Court, near the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and East Tropicana Avenue.
Firefighters say they found heavy smoke coming from the front door, and cut a hole in the roof of the home to let the smoke out.
The blaze was out within 10 minutes.
Crews say there were no injuries in the fire, and the American Red Cross responded to help the two people who were displaced.
The cause is under investigation. Damage is estimated at $10,000.
