CHICAGO (AP) -- A jury in Chicago has convicted a frequent business traveler of groping a woman while she slept in the plane seat next to him.

Srinivasa Erramilli was found guilty Thursday of abusive sexual contact during a Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Chicago last year.

The victim testified in federal court that Erramilli was sitting in a middle seat between her and her husband. They were returning from Las Vegas where they celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary.

She was awake when Erramilli touched her a third time and she began hitting him while calling him either "a pig" or "pervert." The Aurora software consultant called the contact inadvertent.

He faces a maximum two-year prison term. Until his sentencing on April 26, he can only travel for business by car.
