Teens Plead Guilty in Video Bullying Case

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS -- Two brothers seen in an online video beating on another boy have pleaded guilty to battery charges.

The 15-year-old and 13-year-old appeared in juvenile court Wednesday morning and admitted the video evidence was too clear to dispute. The video shows the teens punching another boy. The video went viral on YouTube and sparked outrage among viewers.

"They already got the evidence, so what's the point," the 15-year-old told the judge.

Judge William Voy ruled that the boys will stay in custody until Dec. 18 at which time he will decide on their punishment.

"I want to be on house release so I can be with my family," the tearful 13-year-old told the judge. The boy's request was denied.

Attorneys for the brothers say both teens are taking medication for psychiatric disorders. The attorney for the 15-year-old added that the teen is involved in a gang but wants to get out of it. That teen also pleaded guilty to violating his probation for another incident involving battery.
