LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police car was involved in an accident just after 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Decatur Boulevard and Meadows Lane.
Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate the metro 2009 Crown Victoria was traveling southbound on Decatur crossing Meadows Lane while using it's lights and sirens during a police pursuit.
A 1994 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 19-year-old female was traveling westbound on Meadows Lane crossing Decatur which resulted in the crash with metro officer.
The officer was transported to UMC and eventually released. The teenage driver suffered minor injuries.
The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigations Section.
