The Clark County Grand Jury has indicted Michael Smith on murder and assault charges in the shooting death of a man in January.More>>
HENDERSON, NV. -- A 59-year-old Henderson man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend.
Gary D. Gaston was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on murder and burglary with a deadly weapon charges.
Gaston is accused of going over to his ex-girlfriend's home on Rising Brook Drive off Aspen Peak Loop Wednesday afternoon and began arguing with the 43-year-old woman. Gaston is then accused of stabbing the woman during the confrontation.
Officers arrived and found Gaston still at the home where he surrendered and admitted that he stabbed the woman.
She was rushed to Sunrise Trauma for treatment, but died about 5:35 p.m. from her wounds.
The woman's name will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office after her family has been notified.
