LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A Las Vegas judge will be asked to delay an evidence hearing for entertainer Flavor Flav on felony charges stemming from an argument last month with his longtime girlfriend.
Both sides say the 53-year-old former rap and reality TV star won't appear in person Tuesday during a date-setting hearing before Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa.
Defense attorney Tony Abbatangelo and prosecutor Jake Merback say witnesses are still being interviewed.
The entertainer's legal name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr.
He could face prison time on felony assault and child endangerment charges in the Oct. 17 incident. He also faces a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
He's accused of pushing his girlfriend of eight years to the floor and wielding two knives while allegedly chasing and threatening the woman's 17-year-old son.
