LAS VEGAS -- Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-car wreck near Laughlin, Nev.
The crash happened about 4:10 p.m. Friday along State Route 163. According to Metro Police, who are helping at the scene, one of the two cars involved flipped over and one person is trapped.
Nevada Highway Patrol confirmed that a Nissan Maxima struck a Gold Toyota as investigators said speed was the cause of the accident.
The two male occupants in the Maxima suffered minor injuries. The female driver of the Toyota was transported to University Medical Center in serious condition while the male passenger died on scene.
The Eastbound lanes of State Route 163, West of Christmas Tree Pass, were shutdown for an hour and have re-opened.
