Police ID Suspect from Shooting

Posted: Updated:

HENDERSON, Nev. -- Henderson Police have identified the suspect involved in Wednesday's officer-involved shooting.

According to police, at about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jake Goldsborough, 36, aimed what officers thought was a gun at police, during an incident at an Albertsons grocery store near Lake Mead Drive and Boulder Highway. Officers shot him, and he is still in critical condition at Sunrise Hospital.

Because Goldsborough is still in the hospital, he has been proxy booked on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon Thursday afternoon. Goldsborough has arrest records in Nevada, California and Washington.

Police are still trying to find out why the suspect was in the bathroom with a pellet gun painted to look like a semi-automatic weapon.
