LAS VEGAS -- A motorcyclist is dead and his passenger is in critical condition after a collision with a pickup truck late Saturday night.
Nevada Highway Patrol says the accident happened just before 11 p.m. on Rainbow Boulevard.
A 1996 Harley Davidson was exiting from U.S. 95 turning southbound onto Rainbow Boulevard.
The motorcycle crossed in the path of a Ford F-150 on Rainbow, and the two vehicles collided head on.
The motorcycle driver, a 45-year-old male from Las Vegas, died the scene. His passenger was transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
