Top 8 Largest Populations in Clark County High Schools

LAS VEGAS -- For those who are curious about the Clark County public high schools that had the largest student bodies last school year, the answers can be found in the annual Nevada accountability reports that are released through the Nevada Department of Education.

Among the top eight schools on the 2011-2012 list, only one broke the 3,000 barrier and only one had more girls than boys. Here is the demographic breakdown of those schools.

1. Coronado (3,047 students) -- Located at 1001 Coronado Center Drive in Henderson, the school's student body was 51.3 percent male, 61.6 percent white, 15.3 percent Hispanic, 9 percent Asian-American, 7.4 percent multi-racial and 5 percent black.

2. Centennial (2,996 students) -- Located at 10200 Centennial Parkway in Las Vegas, the school's student body was 50.6 percent male, 48.2 percent white, 22.1 percent Hispanic, 13.9 percent black, 9.4 percent multi-racial and 3.8 percent Asian-American.

3. Rancho (2,944 students) -- Located at 1900 Searles Ave. in Las Vegas, the school's student body was 52 percent male, 68.7 percent Hispanic, 13.2 percent white, 10 percent black, 3.5 percent Asian-American and 1 percent multi-racial.

4. Legacy (2,902 students) -- Located at 150 W. Deer Springs Way in North Las Vegas, the student body was 51.4 percent male, 31.3 percent black, 30.5 percent Hispanic, 24 percent white, 5.9 percent Asian-American and 5.7 percent multi-racial.

5. Valley (2,897 students) -- Located at 2839 S. Burnham Ave. in Las Vegas, the student body was 51.1 percent female, 62.6 percent Hispanic, 13.9 percent black, 13.4 percent white, 7 percent Asian-American and 1.9 percent multi-racial.

6. Clark (2,886 students) -- Located at 4291 W. Pennwood Ave. in Las Vegas, the student body was 52.3 percent male, 51.5 percent Hispanic, 17.3 percent Asian-American, 15.8 percent white, 8.9 percent black and 4.7 percent multi-racial.

7. Las Vegas (2,865 students) -- Located at 6500 E. Sahara Ave. in Las Vegas, the student body was 54.1 percent male, 62 percent Hispanic, 15.8 percent white, 8.7 percent black, 6.4 percent multi-racial and 6 percent Asian-American.

8. Green Valley (2,809 students) -- Located at 460 Arroyo Grande Blvd. in Henderson, the student body was 50.9 percent male, 48.6 percent white, 27.5 percent Hispanic, 9.5 percent multi-racial, 6 percent Asian-American and 5.8 percent black.
