Acts of Kindness: Bob Ellis

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS - A Las Vegas man is rewarding one woman's acts of kindness with an act of kindness of his own.

Bob Ellis saw 8 News NOW's Acts of Kindness segment on Angela Urquiaga – who works as an advocate for homeless students at Rancho High School.

There are 103 homeless children at Rancho High School. Angela provides them with food, clothing and school supplies through her earnings as well as well as donations.

Bob was moved by the story and wanted to help – giving Angela $5,000 to help her cause.

"I graduated from Rancho High School many, many years ago in 1960, and I (heard of) a beautiful community service as Acts of Kindness," he told Angela. "I seen it, and I said, ‘I've gotta' help that person.' So, it's not because of that (that I am) giving money to you. It's you. So, me and my wife have a check for you and the work you're doing for five thousand dollars."

Angela says the $5,000 is just in time to buy new shoes and jackets for all the homeless kids for the holidays.
