LAS VEGAS -- Democrats registered twice as many voters than Republicans in Nevada, according to the Secretary of State.
Of the 1.26 million active voters in Nevada, 41.9 percent are Democrats, 34.7 percent are Republicans, 17.4 percent are nonpartisans, 4.62 percent are Independent American party members and the remaining 1.3 percent are members of the Green, Libertarian or other minor parties.
The number of active voters increased 70,400 between Oct. 1 and Oct. 16. Democrats registered 33,400 voters, Republicans registered 14,800 voters and the number of nonpartisan voters increased 17,100.
Early voting begins Saturday and runs through Nov. 2.
