Murder Charges Filed in Summerlin Woman's Death

LAS VEGAS -- Charges have been filed against two men in the beating death of a 46-year-old Palms cocktail waitress.

George M. Tiaffay and Noel Scott Stevens are facing felony and misdemeanor charges in the death of Shauna Tiaffay, who was found dead the morning of Sept. 29. According to the police report, Tiaffay paid Stevens an initial $600 to kill his estranged wife.

The men are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon, robbery with use of a deadly weapon, and murder with use of a deadly weapon.

Tiaffay is facing additional charges of burglary and malicious destruction of property. The final charge is related to what police described as an attempted suicide when Tiaffay drove his vehicle into a concrete road barrier at 76 mph near the 215-Beltway and Summerlin Parkway on Oct. 8.
