LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is on scene of a shooting that happened on Demetrius Avenue near Eastern and Searles Avenues.
Metro responded to a call of a person that was shot in the front yard of a home shortly after 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
The person was shot in the right side of the body and is currently undergoing surgery at UMC Trauma.
Metro says there are no witnesses to the shooting, but officers are searching for the suspect.
