LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is making her second campaign appearance in less than a week in Nevada. She is hoping to sway voters six weeks before the election.
Ann Romney appeared before a crowd of about 1,000 people this afternoon at the convention center in downtown Henderson. She spent 12 minutes repeating some of the stories she told an audience of more than 500 in Reno on Thursday.
She says the country is ready for a turnaround, and for Mitt Romney.
"One in 400 households has faced foreclosure of their home in Nevada. There are people in this state really having a tough time. So, I like to think of it this way, if it is that kind of a record I think it is time to fire the coach," Romney said.
She is just seven miles from the Lake Las Vegas resort where President Barack Obama is practicing for his Wednesday debate with Mitt Romney in Denver.
