LAS VEGAS -- A family already reeling from the loss of a father who perished saving his family from a fire was dealt another blow with this death of the man's wife Saturday.

Claudia Parga died after her blood pressure dropped suddenly and doctors were unable to revive her. Like her husband, Polo Rodriguez, who died from injuries he suffered after trying to save their children from a grease fire in a house, Claudia went back into the burning house to try to help. She had been listed in serious condition after the blaze a week ago.

The fire started when someone accidentally knocked over a deep fryer at the house. About a dozen family members were gathered together at the home in a neighborhood near Hacienda Avenue and Maryland Parkway for baptism and birthday celebration.

Now, the house is unlivable and the fire left two children, including the son of Parga and Rodriguez, in critical condition.

The latest death came as a complete shock to Parga's family.

"It's indescribable.  Something that was supposed to be a celebration turned so tragic, said Claudia's uncle Arturo Robles. "Truly there are no words to describe what the family's going through.

Parga's father, Hugo Robles, says she was beginning to make a comeback when her blood pressure suddenly dropped.

"She was doing better we thought she was going to be ok until this morning, when we got the call and rushed to the hospital," said Hugo Robles.

Family members say they watched as the doctors fought to keep Parga alive, trading off to give her CPR for around 45 minutes.

"They would bring her back to life and she'd go, said Arturo Robles.  "We'd watch the monitor go from zero to 160 you could see the numbers and her heart beat."

The family is now turning their attention to the two small children in the hospital. Omar, the son of Claudia Parga and Polo Rodriguez, and his 11-year-old brother will now be in the care of Hugo Robles, following the death of both parents.

"We are going to do whatever we can for my grand kids," says Hugo.  "Whatever they need for the rest of their lives."

If you'd like to help, the Robles House Fire Relief Fund has been set up at Wells Fargo bank.
