HENDERSON, Nev. -- The Henderson teenager who was kidnapped the morning of Aug. 31 told police she used tips from the crime drama CSI to lead detectives to her.

In the arrest report, Melissa Duran, 17, said she left personal items, such as clothing and jewelry, in her kidnappers' car and apartment as a way of leaving a trail for police to follow.

Four men have been arrested in connection with Melissa's kidnapping. She was found 21 hours later by Henderson police in an apartment rented by one of the men accused in the crime.

On the police's end, they were able to find Melissa by tracking the men's cell phone calls and texts, and could also trace where they were using the phones, according to the report. This led them to pinpointing where Melissa was being held.

When police arrived at the apartment where she was being held, they found her bound and blindfolded. She also was not fed or given anything to drink while she was being held captive, the report said.

The men arrested and in police custody on kidnapping charges are Jose Sanchez-Perez, age unknown; Mariano Sanchez-Sanchez, 26; Alejandro Manuel Sanchez-Sanchez, 25; and Cesar Sanchez-Vasquez, 30.

Mariano Sanchez-Sanchez made his first court appearance Monday.

According to the police report, an anonymous source contacted Melissa's father and said he overheard four men planning the crime.

The source told police Mariano Sanchez-Serez was the getaway driver and Jose Sanchez-Perez aided in the kidnapping.

"They called my mom while I was in the car and just said, ‘We have your daughter and if you call the police we're going to kill her,'" Melissa said. "He would say things like, ‘If your dad tries to do anything, we're going to kill him, too, and we're going to kill you and we're going to do things I can't even imagine to you.'"

Mariano Sanchez-Sanchez was arrested last week but Jose Sanchez-Perez skipped town to Vallejo, Calif., and was caught about 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Sanchez-Perez is awaiting extradition from California.

Alejandro Sanchez-Sanchez and Cesar Sanchez-Vasquez were arrested Sept. 1, the day Melissa was rescued.

"The most important thing was to find Melissa and rescue her unharmed, which we did," Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul said. "The next thing we wanted to do is make sure that everyone who had a hand in this crime are behind bars and have to answer for their crimes."
