LAS VEGAS -- Metro police are looking for three men after a security guard was shot in the head early Monday morning at the Silver Saddle Saloon in downtown Las Vegas.

Silver Saddle Saloon, near Charleston Boulevard and Fremont Street, was closed most of the day while police searched for evidence after the morning's shooting.

According to police, rowdy patrons were causing trouble inside the saloon about 6:30 a.m. After being kicked out, they returned with a gun and shot the guard.

"Through our initial investigation, we were able to find out that there were three subjects, Hispanic males, all between their 20s and their 30s who were asked to leave the business by security," Metro Sgt. John Sheehan said.

The guard was rushed to University Medical Center and is listed in critical condition. By the time police arrived, the men were gone.

Sheehan said the men drove off in a  medium to dark blue Ford Ranger standard cab pickup truck. The pickup is described as having a cover on the bed, tinted windows  and chrome or alloy wheels. The tire on the front driver's side appears to be a spare wheel, black and not the same as the other wheels.

Police have been trying to track down witnesses who were inside the casino at the time.

The first man is described as Hispanic, 24 to 30 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches, and weighing between 185 to 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a purple T-shirt with a white design on the front and a Colorado Rockies baseball cap. He is described as having a heavy build and a mustache.

The second man is described as Hispanic, 24 to 30 years old, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches and weighing between 150 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt with a white design on the front. He is described as having a medium build with no facial hair.

The third man is also described as Hispanic, 24 to 30 years old, between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 6 inches and weighing between 155 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and long blue denim shorts. He is described as having a medium to heavy build, a goatee and wearing sandals.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
