
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) -- Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval will be speaking at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla.
Seen as a rising star in the GOP, the first-term governor is scheduled to address the convention on its opening night Monday, at 6 p.m. PDT.
Sandoval is the first Hispanic elected to Nevada's highest office, and joins other Republican Hispanic leaders also attending the GOP gathering to nominate presidential hopeful Mitt Romney and set the Republican platform for the upcoming election.
