LAS VEGAS -- CJ the chimp could be facing a longer than normal trip to her new home at an Oregon sanctuary for chimpanzees.

The state of Oregon is insisting the chimpanzee pass a tuberculosis test before entering the state. The test takes between 48 and 72 hours for results to be read.

The test has already been started.

CJ, or Calamity Jane, was accepted to Chimps Inc. sanctuary in Bend, Ore. after she and fellow chimpanzee Buddy escaped from their cage last month. Buddy was killed by police officers after he showed aggression. CJ was tranquilized and returned to her owners.

This past weekend she once again escaped, but was then placed temporarily with a magician who uses exotic animals in his shows.
