Saving money isn't easy for most of us. I say most of us because I have met some people who do it well. My husband, for example, is an excellent saver. He never spends more than he makes and he saves constantly. He's a financial expert and helps people and businesses all over the country. It's his job to be financially smart. He did not marry a financially smart woman however. I have a tendency to shop and buy things that I can't afford. He's really reined me in over the 5 years we've been married for which I am extremely grateful, but I'm still not as good of a saver as I should be. Now that I have a child though, my desires for things have changed. It isn't as important for me to have that purse or dress like it used to be. Now I want her to have things and I want her to be taken care of. In order to do that, I am choosing to save. Yes, I am finally spending less and saving more. There are some really practical ways to save too.
I found a web site with 180 ways to save. Check it out and see if any of these ideas work for you.
And send me an email and let me know how you are saving money. Who knows…we might share your story on the news.
