We hope we never have to feature a child more than once on Wednesday's Child...but when we do, it's because they're very deserving. like today with "Armani".
January of 2010, we met with 10-yr-old Armani at Gamewerks... I could tell then she was a special girl... But apparently things didn't work out for an adoption.
She still likes playing video games, but there's been a whole lot of water under the bridge in the last two years. Armani's been away...learning to deal with the baggage of her difficult childhood.
"I learned not to runaway, I learned not to ...how to control myself, and I learned how not to get into arguments," admits Armani.
"She's a sweetheart." Her legal advocate, Jennie, realized when Armani came back..she was changed.
"Unbelievable amounts of growth to be honest...and I was just saying this the other day...every time I see her, I can just see the maturity of her, the growth, she has learned so much, and she really truly has come back a different person," says Jennie.
At Pole Position, Armani made the go-kart race look easy... She's a bright kid who loves animals -- especially dogs. I asked her what else people should know about her.
"You should tell 'em that I'm a neat kid...friendly...I like to help out," adds Armani.
"She's such a sweet girl that's been through more than any of us can ever imagine...and she just deserves a great home...she wants one, she deserves it, and she's been in the system far too long, and I just hope there's a family out there that appreciates what a great child she is...and what a great addition to any...to a family she would be," says Jennie.
Armani is free and clear for adoption, and is eager to find a home.
