Tires Recalled

Posted: Updated:

Several tire companies are issuing recalls because of contaminated rubber.  Cooper, Del-Nat and TBC tires were all made with the defective rubber that can cause the tire tread to separate.

TBC Corporation is recalling more than 900 Sigma Stampede Radial SUV tires.  TBC will notify all owners and dealers will replace the tires for free.  Owners can call TBC at 1-901-363-8030 for more information.

Del-Nat Tire Corporation is recalling 448 Delta A/S Sierradial or National A/S Commando tires.  The affected tires have a DOT code of either UTIYWHA0112 or UTIYWHD0112.  Del-Nat will be contacting owners.   Dealers will also replace the tires for free.  Owners can call Del-Nat to learn more about the recall at 1-901-775-5002.

Cooper Tire & Rubber Company is also issuing a recall because of contaminated rubber used to make their tires.   The company is recalling certain Cooper brand Discoverer H/T, Discoverer LSX and Mastercraft Courser HTR tires.  Cooper will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tires free of charge.  To find out if your tire is involved in the recall you can call the National Highway Transportation Safety Board at 1-888-327-4236.
