Doomsday may be right around the corner for anyone who uses the Internet. July 9 is the day you could loose access to the World Wide Web if you don't take action now.
A crazy virus called DNS Changer maybe infecting millions of computers right now, but you'd never know it.
This virus was let loose last fall. Six Estonian nationals created the malware and rogue DNS servers to hijack millions of computers worldwide. Thankfully the FBI busted these guys and actually created a safety net to protect millions of Internet users. That safety nest will be lifted though on July 9, 2012. So, if you are infected and don't know it, you'll be without the Internet when that happens.
Thankfully, the FBI has come up with a way to make sure that won't happen to you. Just visit this FBI-backed website, DNS-OK, which will tell you whether your computer is infected with DNS Changer malware.
Once you're there you'll see green or red. Green is good. Red is bad. If you're red go to this site, run by the DNS Changer Working Group. They'll clean you up!
And here's my two cents -- do this now. Don't wait until July 9.
