LAS VEGAS -- Two pedestrians are at fault in the latest deadly auto-pedestrian accident in Las Vegas Valley.
The pedestrians were hit on Craig Road about 586 feet west of Las Vegas Boulevard just after 11 o'clock Saturday night.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says two pedestrians jaywalked across Craig Road from the south side to the north side, and not in a marked cross walk.
As they crossed the westbound travel lanes, they were struck by a Nissan Xterra.
Both pedestrians were transported to University Medical Center. An unidentified female pedestrian, 58, was pronounced dead. A second pedestrian is in critical condition.
The driver, was arrested for misdemeanor DUI and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
Metro says jaywalking is the cause of the crash.
This is the 45th traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction for the year.
