Victim Says Alleged Fake Doctor Assaulted Her

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS -- More victims have come forward, speaking out against Juan Alberto Ruan-Rivera, the fake doctor who is charged with sexually assaulting three people, including a five-year-old boy.

Alberto Ruan was a mysterious man who claimed to have multiple jobs. One of his alleged victims, who did not want to be identified, says he was a smooth talker.

"He was supposedly a doctor, chiropractor, a nutritionist, a counselor -- marriage and children's counselor," she said. "He had that voice and mentality of conviction, I guess you would say. Whatever he said was like, wow!"

He would treat his victims in a home in North Las Vegas, and also made house calls, giving patients pills, promising a cure to their illness. But according to police reports, Alberto Ruan would sedate patients and, in some cases, sexually assault them.

"You had no power or control of what you'd do or say. It's like something would happen and you'd be like, 'Oh my God, what did I do?' or things like that," said the alleged victim.

She claims Alberto Ruan not only sexually assaulted her once, but multiple times. Neighbors were shocked that the man down the street who claimed to be a doctor was nothing but an imposter.

"I was totally shocked because it was my neighborhood and that was my neighbor and I couldn't believe it was happening here," said Diane Feliciano.

Detectives believe more victims will step forward. Alberto Ruan has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, including sexual assault of person under the age of 14. Detectives believe he could be charged with more as victims come forward.
