LAS VEGAS -- Detectives with the Caldwell Police Department and the FBI have asked for the Amber Alert to be canceled for three missing children.
Police say they believe the mother and her children have crossed into Mexico. The three children were taken from Idaho last week by their non-custodial mother.
Police have confirmed all four crossed into Mexico as early as Sunday evening. A witness says the three children appeared to be unharmed and with their mother.
They drove across the border in a gray, four-door, Pontiac 6000, the same vehicle they left Idaho in.
The children were living in foster care in Caldwell, Idaho, and taken by their mother, 35-year-old Bertha Sabala Guerrero.
Detectives with the Caldwell Police Department and FBI special agents continue to investigate this case. A state arrest warrant was issued in Idaho for Guerrero that allows for nationwide extradition.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Caldwell Police Department in Idaho at (208) 454-7531.
