LAS VEGAS -- One person is dead after an accident at Jones Boulevard and Robindale Road.
The accident happened at 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Police say a GMC Yukon entered the intersection and was attempting a left turn on to Robindale when a Honda motorcycle entered the intersection in the opposite direction.
Police say the rider of the motorcycle over-applied his brakes, causing him to lay his bike down on the asphalt. He was ejected from his bike. Both the rider and bike slid into the Yukon.
The 28-year-old motorcycle rider died at the scene. The driver of the Yukon, 48-year-old Linda Hart, was unharmed. The Clark County Coroner's office will identify the motorcycle rider.
This is the second motorcycle crash at Jones and Robindale in less than a week.
