LAS VEGAS -- The New England Patriots will take on the New York Giants for Super Bowl 2012. The popular match-up could mean the potential for a lot of money made or lost in Las Vegas.

On Sunday, fans were already placing bets on who will win the Super Bowl. Local betting locations, like LVH Sportsbook say they hope the popularity of both teams translates into more bets, and more cash.

"I think it's going to be a terrific match-up," Vice President Jay Kornegay said.

LVH Sportsbook has come up with new ways to get even more people to the betting window this year. Fans can place money on everything from what the first play of the game will be, to who has the ball last.

"The Propositions have become such a big part of Super Bowl weekend," Kornegay said. "Years ago, there were maybe 20 or 30 propositions. And now, there are going to be over 300."

Fans wagered closed to $90 million during last year's Super Bowl.@LVH officials expect this year's betting to be the same if not more profitable than last year.@As of Sunday night, the Patriots were favored to win by 3.5 points.
