LAS VEGAS - Downtown Las Vegas is hoping to cash in during the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show.
A number of improvements and new entertainment options downtown are geared toward younger, tech-savvy customers. That is the same clientele that attends CES.
In previous years, most convention goers would spend their time on the Strip when they weren't at the trade show. That's starting to change.
"It's a lot of different people from a lot of different places, so it's kind of nice. People seem to be happy to be in town, just having a good time," said Matt Johnston with Hennessey's Tavern. "Downtown is definitely up and coming in Vegas. It's definitely going to be a hotspot for sure."
CES starts Tuesday and runs through Friday. It's expected to bring around 150,000 visitors to Las Vegas.
