LAS VEGAS -- Smith's Food & Drug announced a recall of certain bagged salads Thursday.

The grocery store is recalling Fresh Selection Bagged Salads, over concerns about Salmonella. The store's supplier in Washington, Taylor Farms, announced the voluntary recall.

The recall is for salads with a "best by" date of 10/18/2011. The salads are labeled:

  • Fresh Selections Field Greens Salad, 8 oz.
  • Fresh Selections Leafy Romaine, 10 oz.
  • Fresh Selections Romaine Salad Blend, 10 oz.
  • Fresh Selections Hearts of Romaine, 10 oz.

Smith's Food & Drug has removed the salads from the shelves and activated its customer recall notification system. Customers who may have bough the salads will get a register receipt message or an automated phone call.

Anyone who has the salad in his or her fridge should return it to the store for a full refund. Customers with questions about the recall can contact Smith's Customer Service at 1-800-576-4377 or Taylor Farms at 1-877-323-7374.
