LAS VEGAS -- Democratic organizers working for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign are targeting Las Vegas.
Obama for America campaign staffers will host a volunteer day Saturday in Las Vegas. They want volunteers to register new voters and recruit supporters for Obama in the 2012 race. Democrats hope to create an organized volunteer force before Republicans do. The Republican presidential field is still evolving.
Obama won Nevada in 2008 and hopes to repeat that victory in 2012.
