LAS VEGAS-- Faith Lutheran High School is getting ready to present the musical Hairspray. Students say they are very excited to be able to put on this type of production.
Senior Alexandra Cannito said "I'm having such a blast, this is my favorite musical."
The Faith Lutheran theater seats 792 people and students say they can't wait to fill it. They have been rehearsing for months.
Erik Ball the head of theatrical arts says his team has worked so hard to get this production together.
"At a time when fine arts are being cut in school, it's a private institution, this is a great opportunity for people in the community to come and see a very reasonably priced but very professional production."
Students like senior Clark Waggoner said this musical is about a lot more than just having fun.
"I've definitely gained a lot of confidence as far as public speaking and just going out and being more open and friendly to people, it's a lot easier when you are in theater."
Students will perform Hairspray May 6 through May 8 and then again May 13 through the 15.
