Maybe you're one of those families hoping to adopt a child slightly older than an infant. Then today's Wednesday'C child is just the ticket. Christian is going on four years old.
Wherever we would go at the Springs Preserve, Christian was running. Not that he was in a hurry...just excited.
"He's just an amazing little boy, he's just a love, he's so sweet, he gets along well with people, he just plays and runs, and hops, and skips, and has endless amounts of energy....typical 3-y-o in that way," says Vickie, his case worker.
With all that energy also comes some challenges.
"But he definitely has some challenges, as far as speech and communication, so a family resource will definitely have to work and work with his therapist," adds Vickie.
But what you come away with is a child with a love of life...unknwingly interrupting our interview with his case worker.
In the end, what Christian needs most is a loving home.
"But I fully believe in the right home with the right support, he will do well," admits Vickie.
Christian is free and clear for adoption, you can started with the process by calling the local office of the Adoption Exchange at 436-6335 to find out more.
