(July 8) -- Jessica Williams’s attorneys tried to get all the blood evidence in her case thrown out of court today. The judge decided not to because the Williams case is still before the state Supreme Court.
A jury found Jessica Williams guilty of having a prohibited substance in her blood when she hit and killed six teenagers working in the median of I-15 in March of 2000.
Earlier this year, a judge granted Williams a new trial because the defense didn't get a chance to independently test blood samples.
The state appealed that part of the case to the Supreme Court. A decision on that is pending.
