LAS VEGAS -- Family members of Erik Scott who was shot and killed by police officers in front of the Summerlin Costco in July have filed a civil rights lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges that Metro police officers used excessive force and violated Scott's constitution rights. The suit also names Costco and one of its employees.
All three officers who shot Scott were found justified in their actions by a Coroner's Inquest jury.
Scott had two guns on him at the time of the shooting and a high level of prescription drugs in his system.
