LAS VEGAS -- More than 17,000 Clark County residents cast their ballot on the first day of early voting in Nevada.
Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax says as many as 18,000 people voted Saturday in the tight race between Democratic Sen. Harry Reid and Republican challenger Sharron Angle. Those figures fall short of the 2008 presidential election, in which 25,000 in Clark County cast ballots on the first day of early voting.
