Body Found In Pond Near Boulder City Identified

(June 26 UPDATE) -- Authorities say 49-year-old Ladonna Milam was the woman found dismembered in a fishing pond at Veteran's Memorial Park. Milam was a maid at the Hacienda Hotel, the last place she was seen alive. Police arrested 29-year-old Perry Monroe in Fresno, California. He was charged with murder and kidnapping. Police say Monroe was staying at the hotel.  (Copyright 2003 by The Associated Press.)

(June 24) -- An arrest has been made in a gruesome murder.  The dismembered parts of a woman's body were found floating in a fishing pond at Veteran's Memorial Park on Monday.

California Highway Patrol captured 29-year-old Perry Monroe Tuesday in California. He's in custody in Fresno, California. Las Vegas detectives are on their way to Fresno to question Monroe.

Police tell Eyewitness News that Perry is responsible for the murder.  They say he was a guest at the Hacienda Hotel and called for assistance Sunday night.  The murdered woman, who worked at the hotel, answered the call and was never seen again. The Clark County Coroner is trying to determine the identity of the woman. 

Divers spent most of Monday gathering evidence after a woman walking her dog noticed body parts floating in the pond at Veteran's Memorial Park.

Boulder City detectives with the help of the National Park Service and Metro Police. The Clark County Coroner removed several human body parts including a torso and limbs that were found floating on the surface of the fishing pond.  The woman's head is still missing.
