Deadline to Register to Vote Draws Near

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Election Department is holding voter registration drives at four Las Vegas area malls from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.  on Saturday, Oct. 2., which is the last day to register to vote in the general election without appearing in person at an Election Department office.

Election Department officials will be accepting voter registration applications at the Las Vegas Outlet Center, the Boulevard Mall, the Galleria Mall, and the Meadows Mall.

In addition to these special hours and locations, Clark County residents with a Nevada driver's license or DMV-issued ID can also choose to register to vote online through Oct. 2.

Individuals wishing to register online should go to the Election Department website and click on the "Register to Vote" button.

Once the information they will be asked to provide has been validated, they will receive immediate feedback that they have successfully registered. The process takes less than five minutes to complete.

Anyone with a question about registering, or who are unsure if they are registered to vote in Clark County, should check their registration status by entering their name and birth date in the Voter Information Lookup box on the front of the Election Department Web site. People without access to the Internet may also call 455-VOTE (8683).
