Metro Police Hiring 911 Dispatchers

Metro is hiring new 911 dispatchers, both English and/or bilingual
(speaking English and Spanish). The department is in need of bilingual specialists. You do not have to be bilingual in order to apply.

Police are accepting applications through July 2nd.

The next informational seminar will be offered at the CCSN campus on east Cheyenne covering career opportunities in the Communications Bureau, application procedures and the testing process on :

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department: 911 Specialist

Las Vegas, NV 89109

PAY:

  • Starting salary $33,611
  • Current top salary $49,752
  • Spanish bilingual pay $46 per pay period

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED (foreign education acceptable)
  • Typing speed at least 45 words per minute (after errors)
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident at time of application

TRAINING PROVIDED:

  • 9-week academy
  • Up to 26 weeks on-the-job training
