LAS VEGAS -- The University of Nevada, Las Vegas president says he plans to talk about the state budget and minimizing cuts to education during a state of the university address.
UNLV President Neal Smatresk says he plans to speak Tuesday about how the university plans to cope with cuts as state lawmakers consider how to plug a large shortage between its budget and revenues.
Smatresk says he hopes the community will get behind education and recognize its value to the community.
