LAS VEGAS -- Three times the challenge with three times the reward with the sibling set on Wednesday's Child. We know it's a big order, but here's a set of children who really need a permanent home.
Almost everyone who sees Tabitha, Anthony and Shawn for the first time agree they are really beautiful kids. And the dynamic between all three quickly became apparent when we had them play firefighters at Gameworks with only two hoses.
Tabitha is the oldest at eight.
"Tabitha's a very intelligent young lady -- very smart. She's just your little lady. She has to do everything just so and just a real sweetheart and a lot of fun to be around and real good with her brothers, too."
Anthony is the oldest of the two brothers at five.
"He's just a little sweet boy. He really attaches to the father-figure in the family and likes to do a lot of things -- a lot of guy stuff with the dad."
Youngest at 3, Shawn is pretty fearless.
"He thinks he can do everything the bigger kids can do, and he's just a joy. Just a mile a minute, but lot of fun. And to watch him grow and learn, he's a real treat."
Together, they're a family unto themselves who must stay together and who deserve every chance at life.
"What these children need more than anything is a full-time permanent home, where they know they'll be there for the rest of their lives and they're just a fun bunch. We also think these children have a lot of intellectual potential, so we'd like to see a family where education and reading and all those things are really emphasized, because we think these kids have the potential to really go far. "
Although these kids have had a rough road for the last couple of years, they're pretty resilient. If you'd like to get started in the process of adopting them, call the local office of the Adoption Exchange right now at 436-6335. They'll get you started.
