Dead Heat in Congressional Race

LAS VEGAS -- A new poll commissioned by 8 News NOW and the Las Vegas Review-Journal shows a dead heat in the Third Congressional District.

Democratic Congresswoman Dina Titus leads challenger Republican Joe Heck by just one percentage point. The poll was conducted by Mason-Dixon Research on August 9 through August 11. Four hundred voters from Congressional District Three were polled.

The results show Titus leading Heck 43-percent to 42-percent. In a poll conducted in mid-July, Titus was beating Heck 42-percent to 40-percent.
