LAS VEGAS -- An effort to put the issue of illegal immigration on the 2012 ballot has ended.
Assemblyman and former U.S. Senatorial candidate Chad Christensen was behind the Arizona-style law being created in Nevada. But the Republican sent a letter to the Secretary of State's office stating the ballot advisory group established for Nevadan's for Immigration Reform will be dissolved.
Christensen says the legal challenges from various entities made it impossible to gather the signatures needed by November of this year.
