The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced one of the largest crib recalls in history.
The recall involves cribs with dropdown sides. The dropdown sides make it more convenient for parents to lift their children in and out of cribs. The government has already recalled nearly 5 million cribs in the past two years, most of them with dropdown sides.
Some retailers, including Toys 'R Us, have stopped selling the dropdown side cribs. Some children have died after becoming trapped between the side rail and headboard.
