There are two important recalls on baby products that could pose a major risk to a child.
The first is the recall of more than 4 million Aqua-Leisure baby floats. The plastic seat is not strong enough to hold a child and has broken through allowing the child to fall into the water. There are several different styles that need to be pulled from store shelves. There have been 31 reports of floats tearing allowing the child to go into the water. Another recall is for Simplicity drop side cribs. The plastic rails that allow the side of the crib to drop can break off and a child can get trapped between the mattress and the side of crib. The death of an 8-month-old child in Texas is blamed on the crib. About 400,000 of those cribs have been recalled. Click here for more information and a picture.
