Federal prosecutors want to drop charges against a Chinese-Mexican businessman accused of bringing huge amounts of methamphetamine into the United States.

Zhenli Ye Gon is alleged to be one of the biggest illegal drug manufacturers in the western hemisphere. Known as Mr. Ye in Las Vegas, he spent millions at local casinos.

Mexican authorities found stacks of money at his home -- more than $200 million. But Monday, federal prosecutors requested that charges be dropped because they're having problems getting witnesses to testify.
