25th Anniversary of Mobster Tony Spilotro's Murder

LAS VEGAS -- It was 25 years ago that Las Vegas mobster Tony Spilotro was murdered. His body was found in an Indiana cornfield.

Spilotro was sent to Las Vegas to increase the Chicago mob profits but instead he set up his own empire. He stole from locals an tourists and when the bosses figured it out, they ordered his death.

"Tony actually had the opportunity to stop and say a little prayer when he knew what was coming. You know they gave him enough respect to think about his wife and his kid and then they came at him with baseball bats," said Chris Cecot, historian at the Las Vegas Mob Experience.
